Sr. Norma Pimentel was called to Rome for important meetings and will not be able to join us on Monday. Fr. Brendan Curran, OP has agreed to substitute for her.

Brendan Curran, O.P., a Dominican priest who leads interfaith partnerships at the Resurrection Project and serves on the International Dominican Commission for Justice and Peace. He will share his experiences, especially through the recent mobilization of ICE and the military (Operation Midway Blitz) in Chicago:

  - Who exactly is being targeted in Trump’s mass deportation campaign

  - How Catholic Chicagoans are resisting the federal immigration crackdown.

From his decades long work in pursuit of justice and peace within his Dominican Community and especially in Chicago, Fr. Curran will share the plight of the people he assists. He was a guest last week on America Media's podcast, Jesuitical. It can be found on their website.

Sr. Janice Vanderneck of Casa San Jose will add what is happening in Pittsburgh.

We regret Sr. Norma's absence but are confident that the evening will provide a powerful context around what is happening in our country and our city.
