From his decades long work assisting immigrants at the El Paso/Juarez border, Rubin Garcia will share the plight of the people he assists.  His Annunciation House has developed extensive support programs and draws volunteers from across the country, including weekly visits from Bishop Mark Seitz who heads the USCCB Immigration Committee.  El Paso has long been a flash point for the nation's harsh immigration policies.  Learn how current policies are making life miserable, stoking fear both for those seeking asylum and other vulnerable immigrants already in the US.  And discover how you can counter these injustices.

Ruben Garcia is the executive director of Annunciation House in El Paso, Texas, a non-profit supporting migrants and refugees. For over four decades, Ruben has been a dedicated advocate for social justice, co-founding Annunciation House in the late 1970s to address the urgent needs of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. Under his leadership, the organization has grown significantly, providing shelter, food, and legal assistance to thousands. Recognized for his contributions to humanitarian aid, Ruben continues to be a leading voice for humane immigration policies and the protection of human rights.
