M. D. Chenu, OP was one of the great religious figures of the 20^thcentury. He taught Yves Congar and Edward Schillebeeckx and deeply influenced Vatican II.

Gustavo Guttieriez called him the “father of liberation theology.” He is also the father of creation spirituality influencing Matthew Fox, a student in his last class in 1968. Fox named it the creation spirituality tradition.

In this presentation, we will explore Chenu’s exceptional story, some of his exciting teachings, and his deep wisdom that deserve our attention even today. They can illumine the gospel and resurrect the church, our species as a whole, and our planet.
